Inaugural Hanukkah Parade of Essex County

The parade will feature 20 assorted vehicles, starting with a red Menorah Truck leading the parade. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. in Livingston and will wind its way through Short Hills, Maplewood, Montclair, Verona, and West Caldwell, ending in West Orange on Pleasant Valley Way. This is a collaboration of the Lubavitch Center of Essex County, Living Legacy and the Friendship Circle, and a project of Rabbinical College of America in Morristown. Older artists will participate in a more traditional fine-arts class. We may work with acrylic paints, oil pastels, watercolors or clay.

FREE RABIES VACCINATION CLINIC FOR DOGS AND CATS

A licensed veterinarian will administer the vaccine.

"Holiday Melt & Pour Soap Making" is an opportunity to learn how to make your own homemade soap. Making your own soap to give as a gift is eco-friendly. This workshop will buzz with enthusiasm and provide basic hands-on experience in learning how to use natural bases and additives to create textured and colored soaps – perfect for the season of gift giving. It will be easy to do this again at home and you leave with soap creations and knowledge for years to come. Bring a snack/lunch to eat while your soap hardens and get familiar with all the center has to offer. Please bring tie-backs for hair longer than shoulder length.
