The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter will present a two-part program, “Living with Alzheimer’s: For Caregivers – Late Stage "on March 8, 2012 (part 1) and March 15, 2012 (part 2) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange.
Program Description: The most current research about care in the late stage of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia indicates the benefit of including the person’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs in the treatment plan. This program will offer information about providing care, communicating, developing resources and working with your care team to support the individual during the later stages of the disease.
There is no fee for attending this program, however, seating is limited. For registration and more information, please contact the Alzheimer’s Association at 973.586.4300.

New Jersey Peace Action will host its 55th anniversary dinner on Sunday, April 29th, at the Regency House, 140 Route 23 North, in North Pompton Plains, New Jersey. NJ Peace Action is working to end torture, close Guantanamo Bay Prison, and stand up for the civil liberties of all, including the Muslim community. Captain Yee served as the Muslim Chaplain for the U.S. Prison camp in Guantanamo Bay, was imprisoned and falsely accused of aiding alleged Taliban and Al-Qaeda prisoners.
