The largest photography event ever held in New Jersey will provide photo enthusiasts from beginners to professionals with the opportunity to demo and purchase new products and take free classes with some of the world’s top photographers.  Unique Photo, the largest camera store in the state, will hold a free, open to the public four-day consumer expo Thursday, June 21 through Sunday, June 24 at the Unique Photo superstore at 123 Route 46 West in Fairfield, NJ.

Consumers will have the opportunity to sample and purchase the latest products at steep discounts through Expo-only “Show Specials” from dozens of industry leading manufacturers on-site.  They will also be able to learn from some of the world’s top photographers, with classes offered in D-SLR photography, lighting, posing, shooting, and post-production including Photoshop.  “We wanted to create an exciting event where any photographer, regardless of their ability level, could have the opportunity to try out the best equipment and learn from some of the world’s best photographers,” said Unique Photo President Matt Sweetwood.  “The public has never had the opportunity to attend a free event like this before.  As the center for photography in the state, we want to make photography both enjoyable and affordable.”

During the Unique Photo Expo, attendees will be able to demo the latest and best photographic gear with hands-on demonstrations from manufacturers’ representatives; receive specials and discounts from numerous vendors; attend instructional seminars and workshops to improve their photography skills; and shop and take advantage of “Show only” sales.  Among the photographers scheduled to appear are internationally known, award-winning wedding photographer Hanson Fong, Saturday Night Live videographer Alex Buono, Jay Dickman, Lindsay Adler, Erik Valind, Will Crockett, Ken Hubbard and David Piazza.

Manufacturers scheduled to attend include Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Tamron, Sigma, Manfrotto, Sony, Panasonic, Leica, Lexar, Epson, Samsung, and Fujifilm.   Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore and experience photography excursions to the New Jersey Botanical Gardens, to film the Manhattan skyline, the Great Falls in Paterson, the Meadowlands Racetrack, and the Bergen County Zoo.   Admission to the Unique Photo Expo is free.

Lisa Suriano, founder and creator of the Veggiecation Program, and Whole Foods Market at select locations are keeping kids busy this summer with kids’ culinary classes.  Using fresh summer fruits and veggies, kids will prepare Spinach and Orange Salad with Honey Vinaigrette and Black Bean Dip. As practiced in participating classrooms throughout the country, kids will be invited to help prepare Veggiecation Program’s recipes, sample Veggiecation Program’s culinary creations, experience vegetables in their raw form and cast a vote on how they liked the recipes in the Veggiecation Ballot Boxes.  Kids will take home complimentary Veggiecation character coloring pages, word games, mazes and stickers.  Parents will receive a copy of Veggiecation Program's recipes created that day.

A curriculum based nutrition education concept, Veggiecation Program’s success with kids lies in the engaging activities that empower children with their food choices while demonstrating that eating vegetables is fun and delicious.
