Auditions will be February 6-February 9 for interACT Theatre Production’s presentation of The Full Monty.
The musical centers around a group of unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, New York, who come up with a bold way to make some quick cash after seeing how much their wives enjoy watching male strippers during their "Girls' Night Out." The book is by Terrence McNally, with music and lyrics by David Yazbek.
Nicholas J. Clarey, interACT’s artistic director, will direct this production. This past fall, he directed the theatre’s acclaimed performances of The Crucible.
Auditions will be 6:30-9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6 and Thursday, February 7; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 9 at The Baird Theatre, 5 Mead St., South Orange.

Actors should be prepare two songs or selections from songs – one ballad and one up-tempo in pop/modern musical theatre style. These can include songs from The Full Monty, but is not required. Actors should also be prepared to participate in cold readings and a movement audition. We welcome all levels of ability in movement and will use this movement audition for choreography planning.

Unless specifically noted, all body types are welcome. Other than 'Nathan,' you must be at least 18 years old before audition dates to audition. Nathan candidates must be at least 10. This show has adult themes and language. All age ranges are stage ages and are pliable.
We are looking for actors of any ability level with comedy chops who can hit the depths and heights of reality. Vocal ranges include solos. For some solos transposition is possible.
Reminder to women: This show is not just about the guys and their underwear issues. The women's roles are powerful, pivotal, and memorable with power-house songs.
