The Roseland Rotary, The Roseland Jr. Woman’s Club and the Roseland Recreation Booster Association, Inc. are co-sponsoring this year's Roseland Country Fair. The Fair will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 11 am to 5 pm on the Roseland Country Fair Grounds at the corner of Roseland and Harrison Avenues.

The rain date is Sunday, June 12th, 2011.

Welcome to State Fair at the Meadowlands Fairgrounds – New Jersey’s Most GI-Normous Event!  As New Jersey’s best value in family-friendly entertainment, we invite you to join us for our 25th Anniversary for 17 days full of action-packed fun for the entire family.  The Fair will run daily from June 24 through July 10 featuring plenty of FREE new and returning entertainment with dazzling performers, delicious food, thrilling rides, games, exhibits, shopping and bargain ticket nights.
Free Entertainment is actually FREE with your admission Ticket. There are live shows throughout each day. This year’s free entertainment includes Batcopter Aerial Stunt Show, Racing Pigs, Hypnotist Steve Bayner, Festival of Magic, and Petting Zoo.

         Thursday Thru Sunday: $4.00

         June 24 - Opening Night: $1.00

Gate Admission - All Tickets Include Free Live Entertainment.  Children less than 34 inches tall are admitted free but must have a ticket to ride

Persons 13 & Older - $7.00
Children 12 and Under and Senior Citizens - $5.00

Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Holidays
Persons 13 & Older - $9.00

Stroller/Wheelchair Rental - Daily rental of strollers and wheelchairs are available at the Main Entrance to the fairgrounds.  Costs are approximate.

  Stroller - $8.00; Pull Wagon - $15.00; Push Wheelchair - $12.00; Motorized Scooter - $50.00

In addition to our everyday FAIR deals, the following pricing is available at the Fairgrounds:

Carnival Rides -- Tickets may be purchased at Ticket Boxes on the Main Midway and on the Carnival Midway

      $1.00 for a single ticket (carnival rides use 3 to 5 tickets/person/ride)

      $50 for 56 tickets (11% discount over single ticket price)

      Unlimited Ride Hand Stamps are Also Available for purchase (admission is additional).

      Mondays – Thursdays = $17.99/person

      Fridays = $19.99/person

      Saturdays/Sundays/Holidays = $24.99/person

Live Animal Rides (Ponies, Elephant & Camel) -- Tickets may be purchased at the Petting Zoo Ticket Box - $5.00/person per ride.  Unlimited Ride Hand Stamps are NOT valid.

Special Attractions -- Tickets may be purchased at the Attraction’s Ticket Box. Unlimited Ride Hand Stamps are NOT valid.
Freak Shows & Sideshows from $1.00 to $4.00
Bumper Boat Rides estimated at $4.00/person per ride

The June 5th Concert will be held to raise funds for the PTW Scholarship Fund and for this very special performing arts school while enjoying a wonderful evening of songs with friends old and new. The evening will conclude with a post-performance reception and include a delightful assortment of savories, sweets, and libation.  PTW families and friends will have a rare opportunity to experience the wonderful talents of the faculty and student alumni.

The PTW Scholarship Fund is a non-profit corporation established to provide financial assistance to students who otherwise would not be able to attend classes at Performer Theatre Workshop.

You Can Take Control: A Diabetes Prevention Program

Livingston Public Library and Metro YMCA of the Oranges will host “You Can Take Control: A Diabetes Prevention Program” at the Library on Wednesday, June 8th. The program is specifically for adults who are at high risk for developing type-2 diabetes. It will be offered twice, at 12:30 PM, and again in the evening at 7:30 PM.

The program is free and reservations are not required.

There will also be a display of books on prediabetes and diabetes from the Library’s collection: sourcebooks, diet and exercise, cookbooks, and personal stories. All of these books and hundreds of titles from other libraries may be borrowed with a Livingston Library card.
