The Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company (www.cddc.info) returns for its 4th captivating season with Inspired, an evening featuring world and company premieres by Dorfman and guest choreographer Doug Elkins. With works inspired by life and a gala theme celebrating lives inspired by dance, this performance brings dance that is fresh, passionate, and deliciously physical. With Dorfman’s sensuous and visceral duet, Keystone, intensely satisfying Hourglass and Elkins’ signature electric and, often hilarious, Narcoleptic Lovers, this program promises that you, too, shall be inspired.

Piece description:  Keystone is a duet that explores the endurance of relationships and the concept of staying power in a world that continues to embrace fast digital communication that is not aligned with the human pulse or true intimacy.

Piece Description: Hourglass is a solo that charts a woman's journey through time and space, struggling with life processes, but ultimately being healed.

Performance by Jacqueline Dumas Albert, Mica Bernas, Alex Biegelson, Brittanie Brown, Tyner Dumortier, Brandon Jones, Ae-Soon Kim, Louie Marin, Katlyn Waldo, and Anna Woolf.
Music: Mio Morales, Mozart, and Urban Species
Piece Description: Set on the company by the talented and witty Doug Elkins, Narcoleptic Lovers uses his signature eclectic movement vocabulary. The work draws on modern, hip-hop, ballet and martial arts, and is a series of “love letters” to former lovers.
