Time: 6:00 pm–8:00 pm
The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter will present a two-part program, “Living with Alzheimer’s: For Caregivers – Late Stage "on March 8, 2012 (part 1) and March 15, 2012 (part 2) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange.
Program Description: The most current research about care in the late stage of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia indicates the benefit of including the person’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs in the treatment plan. Care becomes much more focused on how the person still can connect with others and engage with the environment. This program will offer information about providing care, communicating, developing resources and working with your care team to support the individual during the later stages of the disease.
There is no fee for attending this program, however, seating is limited. For registration and more information, please contact the Alzheimer’s Association at 973.586.4300.
