Alternative Shabbat Service

Join Oheb Shalom's Cantor Erica Lippitz, who will be leading an “Alternative Service” this Shabbat morning, March 10. This unique and highly enjoyable service takes place on the bima (pulpit) of the sanctuary -- a special place for contemplation and prayer. (There is enough room for everyone to sit on the actual bima in a circle in folding chairs.) The informal service will include plenty of singing and an open Torah discussion. The marvelous Joel Friedman will return to meld Eastern religious insights and movement into the Sh'ma, Amidah, and Torah service. Children welcome, or they can attend children's weekly Shabbat services downstairs.
