Amateur Astronomers, Inc. presents Phil Harrington as its guest speaker tonight at 8 pm in the Roy Smith Theater at Union County College, 1033 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ 07016.  Mr. Harrington has been an amateur astronomer since 1968, and is an adjunct professor at Suffolk County Community College in Seldon, New York where he teaches courses in stellar and planetary astronomy.  Tonight, he will challenge you to find star clusters, nebulae, distant galaxies, and quasars.  Some of these objects are visible to the naked eye or in binoculars. Others require a backyard telescope.

After the presentation, everyone is invited to the William Miller Sperry Observatory on campus for light refreshments and the opportunity to meet the speaker. Volunteer members of AAI will also operate our two large telescopes until 10:30 pm.

Admission and observing are free and we have plenty of free parking.  For more information, contact us at info@asterism.org or visit our website at www.asterism.org click Public Talks.  All are welcome!
