Speaking on Shakey Ground, John Williams (guitar, vocals) says the group got its name from the old Temptations / Delbert McClinton tune. "It feels emblematic of the times we live in - seismically, economically and for some, spiritually." Founded by veterans of the South Orange and Maplewood music scene, the group has deep roots in pop and blues music. With Steve Gorelick (vocals), Brett Ollerenshaw (sax), Vern Miller (bass), David Goldman (drums) and Matt Raabe (keyboard), the band finds itself exploring some of the best music from the sixties, seventies and eighties.
