In a press release Platinum Minds will host the Spring 2012 Entrepreneur/Leadership Symposium for young men on Saturday, June 2, 2012, from 9:15 am to 4 pm at a private site in Elizabeth. Participants will include qualified students from Elizabeth, Newark, and the surrounding area.
The Spring 2012 Entrepreneur/Leadership Symposium is a day-long event for young men age 11 to 17, featuring informative workshops, presentations and exhibits designed to strengthen students’ leadership, empowerment and community development skills. Qualified students will network with business and community leaders, who will offer their success stories and challenges, with the goal of providing more young men with knowledge of their value and role in revitalizing their community.
Participation is free-of-charge, and qualified students must be nominated by a member of the student’s school administration or faculty, or local church administrators. Applicants must:
· be young men age 11-17
· live in an “environmentally challenged" neighborhoods (pressure to join gangs or take or deal drugs, threats of physical violence to, from, or in school)
· have a B average or higher, or be strongly motivated to learn
· have no major drug or discipline problems, and no criminal record; and
· arrange transportation to and from the Elizabeth, NJ site
Platinum Minds is seeking small business and corporations that would like to contribute financial donations for the Spring 2012 Entrepreneur/Leadership Symposium.
