Seton Hall University's Pirates of Irish Persuasion & Extraction (PIPE) will continue its Irish Studies Discussion Series with a program on Irish Americans in Law on Monday, November 8 at 7 p.m. in the Beck Rooms, ground level of Walsh Library, on the South Orange campus.

Attorneys Brendan McCarthy and Domhnall O'Cathain will give a presentation about legal issues important to Irish-Americans and about the role of Irish Americans in the legal profession. McCarthy, who was named to the Irish Echo's prestigious 40 Under 40 list, is the Founding President of the Irish American Bar Association of New Jersey and works as an Assistant Prosecutor in Essex County. O'Cathain, President-Elect of the Irish American Bar Association of New York, is involved in the Brehon Law Society in New York City and has been active in informing Americans about court proceedings in Northern Ireland regarding the use of the Irish language in an official capacity.
