Join us for live theater performances at SOPAC by local professionals that use stories to get kids to think about fairness and discrimination, to learn to not fear people who are different, and to work together to solve problems. Gertrude McFuzz will be brought to life using the musical score by Robert Kapilow, local actors, singers--including opera star Lori Mirabal, dancers and musicians, complete with costuming, lighting and set. The second part of the performance is a theatrical reading by Broadway actress Emily Zaccharias, which will be performed with dance, bass and drum accompaniments, of Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon by Patty Lovell. This production is part of the Coalition on Race's Integration through the Arts program! Reservations suggested--visit our website.
