Performing since 2011, the Peter Lin Septet plays a variety of music that features mostly arrangements of jazz standards and originals that are in the style of Wayne Shorter, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Charlie Parker, and other musicians from the jazz idiom. This septet has been the opening band for Mulgrew Miller and Kenny Barron Duo as well as the Rufus Reid Trio. All of our performances have gathered positive reviews from both the media and the public, reflecting the tightness of the horn section and the classic, swingin' feeling from the rhythm section. All the members of the band are up and coming musicians who consistently play in the tri-state area:
