The Rachel Coalition, the domestic violence division of Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ will host a fund raising gala presenting two-time Tony award winner Norbert Leo Butz at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn. The event will honor community leaders Thelma and Richard Florin of West Orange, New Jersey and all proceeds from the gala will benefit Legal Services for victims of domestic violence.
Norbert Leo Butz is a singer, entertainer and Broadway actor whose most recent awards include a Tony for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for his role in Catch Me If You Can in 2011. His recent Broadway performances include a starring role in the 2012 comedy Dead Accounts and he currently stars in the musical Big Fish. He, Nathan Lane and Julianne Moore star in a new film , The English Teacher, scheduled to appear in theaters on May 17.
General performance tickets are $75 and $125. Benefactor tickets at $250 per person include a private reception and an opportunity to meet Mr. Butz at 6:00 pm.

The Rachel Coalition is a partnership of nine northern New Jersey organizations working together to respond to domestic violence. The partners include Jewish Family Service of MetroWest, National Council of Jewish Women: Essex Country Section, National Council of Jewish Women: West Morris Section, Women’s Philanthropy of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest New Jersey, MetroWest Rabbinic Cabinet, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Hadassah: Northern New Jersey Region, Jewish Women International: North Atlantic Region and JCC MetroWest.
Rachel Coalition Services include: a 24-hour crisis response line (973-740-1233), access to safe accommodations with kosher provisions, individual counseling and support groups for victims, counseling for children, legal and medical assistance, and outreach and education programming.
