Stop, Look, and Listen for Woodpeckers. Are there woodpeckers in the garden at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum? On Tuesday, July 16th from 1:15 to 2 p.m. children three to five years old and their caregivers can stop, look, and listen for the tapping of woodpeckers and discover why woodpeckers tap on trees. In addition to visiting the garden, children will hear a story about woodpeckers and make and decorate a paper woodpecker and tree to take home.
The “Growing in the Garden” programs take place from 1:15pm – 2pm. There are limited spaces, pre- registration is required. Macculloch Hall Historical Museum preserves the history of the Macculloch-Miller families, the Morris area community, and the legacy of its founder W. Parsons Todd through its historic site, collections, exhibits, and educational and cultural programs. The Museum is open for house and exhibit tours on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. The last tour leaves at 3pm. Adults $8; Seniors & Students $6; Children 6 – 12 $4. Members and children under 5 are free. The gardens are open (free of charge) during Museum hours. Please check our website for any holiday closings. The Museum is closed on Thursday July 4th 2013.
