Swing Town, Maplewood's very own 20-piece swing band under the direction of Ben Williams, will perform for your dining and dancing pleasure at Highland Place on Wednesday, June 19 at 8:00 p.m.! Come on in and COOL down with some HOT jazz including classics from the golden age of big bands, lesser-known gems and swingin' vocals.

Swing Town is one of several ensembles of Maplewood Community Music (MCM). MCM’s concert season will end with its annual outdoor Summer Concert. The Maplewood Community Band and Swing Town will perform on Sunday, July 21, 2013 beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Memorial Park Amphitheatre in Maplewood.
About Maplewood Community Music
Formed in 2003, MCM is a non-profit community organization dedicated to enriching and inspiring amateur musicians and audiences of all ages in the Maplewood area. All local amateur musicians, including those that have retired or haven’t played since high school, are invited to join the Community Band and continue their lifelong love of music. In turn, the musicians of the MCM ensembles—all volunteers—perform free public concerts, concerts for veterans and seniors, and at numerous local events. Partnering with local organizations, MCM provides and supports music-related community and youth enrichment programs. MCM operates with support from the Maplewood Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs and through donations.
