Traditional Irish Dancing

Paul Keating, an experienced Irish set dancing teacher in New Jersey and New York will tell the audience about the tradition of Irish set dancing, the forms it takes, and opportunities to learn this dance form in the local area.  2011 World Champion Irish step dancer Kerri Smith will discuss the history of Irish set dancing and her experiences in the competitive step dance world.  She will also provide a brief demonstration of Irish step dancing.  After Keating and Smith have shared their perspectives on the topic, the audience will have an opportunity to interact with them and with one another. 

This event, which will take place on Seton Hall's South Orange campus in Room 60 (the Graduate Lounge) of Duffy Hall, is free of charge and open to the public.
