In today's market, up to 85% of jobs are secured through networking. LinkedIn is the professional business social media/networking site. But you can't just post your profile and expect to hear from a recruiter or get a job. Through the Groups and the Q & A sections, you can more effectively market yourself and network your way to recognition. Learn some of the ins and outs of LinkedIn, and strategies that can put you ahead of the competition, including:
* The word that every job-seeker should have in their headline
* How to use updates so your network hears from you on a regular basis
* Why you should join groups and what to do once you've joined them
Elaine Bloom has a degree in history from NYU and has spent much of her life in various types of publishing including working for large book publishers in New York City and a family special-interest newspaper business based in Newark. Always interested in the intersection of technology, communications and information dissemination she's moved from working mainly with print media to the world of the Internet. Since 2008 she's been helping people to get the most out of LinkedIn.
