Location: 301 Mount Hope Ave, Rockaway, NJ 07866
When: June 15, 2011
Time: 4:30pm

Gooch’s Garlic Run, an annual motorcycle ride by several thousand current and retired police officers that shuts down the eastbound side of Route 80, is set to ride again.   A permit dispute cancelled last year’s event and is prompting a significant route change this year -- though the map will remain unchanged in Morris County.  The bikers will depart the Rockaway Townsquare mall starting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, entering westbound Route 80 at the Mount Hope Road.   Instead of culminating with a late-night dinner in the Little Italy neighborhood in Manhattan, the 24th annual motorcycle ride will end in the Ironbound section of the Newark.

The Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club of New Jersey IX, which organizes the event, posted registration details and other information on its website.
