The South Mountain Conservancy invites you to help build the Mayapple Loop Trail, a new multi-use, sustainable mile circuit around Mayapple Hill in South Mountain Reservation. Join us the first Sunday of each month (except for the July 4th and Labor Day weekends, then the second Sunday). The Mayapple Loop Trail will eventually connect up to a series of trails in the 63 acres added in 2009 to the Reservation.
Trail building is rewarding work, but strenuous and only for volunteers 15 years or older. Bring: Solid footwear and a friend…we supply work gloves, tools, and water. Steady rain cancels. Directions to Mayapple Hill parking lot: Go a half mile north of Northfield Avenue on Pleasant Valley Way, turn left and go up hill on Cedar Ave. Make a left into the parking lot.
