Using Your Senses in Writing

Writing is more than just characters, dialogue, and action. A well-written story draws you in so deeply that you almost believe you're in the story yourself. To create such a rich narrative world, a writer must master the art of deep observation. One way to practice is through writing with all of your senses.
In this workshop, Judith and Michelle will share exercises that demand keen observation, isolating each of your five senses and maybe playing with your sixth. You'll use prompts to tap into memory, imagination, rhythm, sensation and more, opening a whole new compartment in the writers' toolbox that you may not have even known was there.
