“Astonishment: Life in the Slow Lane,” is adapted from nonagenarian Maplewood resident Jan Slepian’s reflections on aging with humor and grace. The hour-long performance, adapted by Dreamcatcher’s Laura Ekstrand, comments on the astonishment of being old, the heartbreak and comfort of companionship in later years, and the ridiculous moments in everyday life.

The South Orange Symphony, directed by Robert Helmacy, will present a free concert on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. at South Orange Middle School. The Maplewood Men's Glee Club welcomes men interested in singing with the club to come to the first rehearsal of their Winter season on Monday, September 13th at the Dehart Community Center at 120 Burnett Ave in Maplewood. Rehearsals take place from 7:45 pm to 9:50 pm each Monday night.

An Individual Education Plan (IEP) and a 504 are two types of written plans that must be developed and implemented by public schools in order to support students with disabilities or special needs. This workshop will review the fundamentals of creating IEPs and 504s. Parents will be given an overview of which students might be eligible for each plan, how each process works and how they differ from one another.
